ON THESE ISSUES, I AGREE

Obama taking steps toward gun control.

If there are no hidden loop holes attached to what Mr. O is proposing to help keep guns out of dangerous, incompetent people’s hands; I agree with his plan.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will now require that people who sell guns at stores, at gun shows or over the Internet be licensed and conduct checks, officials said. The ATF was finalizing a rule requiring background checks for buyers of dangerous weapons from a trust, corporation or other legal entity as well.

# 1: People that sell guns, whether they are at a gun show, on-line, at a store  or in a private setting should be licensed and approved by the government.

# 2: The sellers should have their background check to make sure they are competent  people. The sell of fire arms is a very responsible task and the sellers should be scrutinized. I can just imagine how many fruit cakes there are selling guns that are ticking time bombs.

# 3:  In the same token, the people that are buying the guns should also be gone over with a fine tooth comb. How many wack jobs have been involved in mass shootings recently that bought a gun as easy as it would be to buy a pack of chewing gum.

According to his spokesman; Obama’s motivation is to make sure that “criminals, people who are mentally unstable, and those who could pose a danger to themselves and others” are less likely to obtain a firearm. I do not see anything wrong with that.

I also believe that no one except the authorities and the military should own automatic weapons. Why does anyone need an automatic or semi-automatic weapon to go hunting?

The disarmament of such weapons should be started with concentrating on the criminals and the terrorists groups by using any means necessary to relieve them of their weapons. When that is achieved, than I would say that the civilian population should give theirs up.

It may be Obama’s and people in the government that share his mentality long range plan to disarm America, I don’t know but based in his current recommendations, if there are no hidden clauses as there are in so many other government documents, I will support this movement.

This is about public safety FOLKS. What can possibly be anyone’s objection???

In situation such as this, we have to look beyond our selfish motives and consider what is good for the American people (something the politicians of this country have caught on to yet).  If what Obama is proposing helps save lives, what should be the objections?

I know there are many people that disagree with me but; what if one of your family members were in the movie theater when some wacko opened fire? Would your opinion be any different.

These are a few more facts that I uncovered:

Three things that are in the package (according to the White House fact sheet):

• Hiring more people to run the FBI background check system, so the government can be “processing background checks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”  GOOD

• Requesting from Congress an additional $500 million to increase access to mental health care.  VERY GOOD

• Clarifying that people selling guns over the Internet can still be required to conduct background checks on buyers if they are “engaged in the business” of selling guns, not just a hobbyist.  GOOD

Issues not in the package that should be included:

• A requirement that every gun sale in the country is proceeded by a criminal background check. GOOD

• A ban on gun sales to people on terrorist “no-fly” lists.  VERY GOOD

• A ban on large capacity magazines that hold a lot of bullets.  This should be incorporated with the ban on the sale of automatic and semi-automatic weapons. GOOD

If no one has any skeletons in their closet; what can their objection be? Making big bucks is the only answer I can come up with.

I am pleased to say; this is one of the time I do agree with Mr. O; if there isn’t any hidden clauses.

Automatic weapons are for what 2A intended, to wrest the nation from a corrupted government. In 1776, the Continental Army was equipped with the modern assault weaponry of that time.
The definition of automatic, is written in gray lettering that includes anything that self loads a fresh round of amunition, which can be defined also as semi-automatic.
Considering that I am a hunter, and in my senior years, semi-automatic rifles and shotguns to me are important. I am no longer the 18-19-20 year old 0331 capable of sustained recoil, and any 0311 should recognize that Obama, who is anti-military will eventually seek harm against our own military for his own gain while kissing UN Agenda 2030 and UN7277, all, calling for disarming US military and leaving America to be garrisoned by UN troops exclusively.
THE OATH I SWORE, MANY DECADES AGO, HAS NO EXPIRATION. Any person or entity seeking harm to our nation, our constitution, our military, our Freedom, is my sworn enemy.
I leave you with this, perhaps the words have a ghostly meaning and will echo in your head forever:
“This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
My rifle, without me, is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will…
My rifle and I know that what counts in war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit…
My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will…
Before God, I swear this creed. My rifle and I are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.
So be it, until victory is America’s and there is no enemy, but peace!”

Times have changed and we have to change with them if we expect our country to be safe. If you noticed in my post I insisted that ALL the BAD GUYS be relieved of their automatic and semi-automatic weapons before the responsible citizen gives theirs up. I would never suggest or condone that the patriotic citizens of this country be left in harms way.
