We all live in what is supposed to be a democratic society. Some of the most precious benefits everyone can enjoy in this country is a free will to do and say what they want, as long at their actions are not illegal. But everything has it’s time and place.
The people that are boycotting the Academy Awards certainly have a right to their opinions. Whether they are correct or not is a matter of conjecture.
There is pressure being put on Chris Rock to back out of the awards as master of ceremony. Lets see if he caves into the demands.
If he doesn’t cave-in there is going to be a backlash from his peers. If he doesn’t cave-in, I can almost guarantee that he will chop the hell out of the Academy and all of it’s members; possibly do the Tarantella on the white FOLKS.
Some of these award shows have have gotten out of hand by turned into private ax grinding opportunities for the speakers that have no place in the programs.
Tell me that this Black Power Salute is not a kick in the teeth to all white Americans!!
I bet the PC-ers just suck it all up. It reminds me of some idiot men that bring their wives to an Adam Dice Clay performance and sit in the front row so they can be insulted.
There are two men in the interviewed; Brian Benjamin and Kmele Foster, both black that do not share the same opinions. Conversation is healthy.
If the USA is EVER going to make any progress forward in the racial discrimination world, there has to come a time when there are no references made to the races. No black references – no white references, just people references.
The way I see it, that time will only come in about 50 more years, through interracial marriages and relationships as we see today, when the end result will be only one race.
Is that a good thing? It really depends on whom you talk to. I know one thing; evolution has changed dramatically over the past years when integration between races was absolutely taboo. The blacks looked down on interracial relationships as much as some white people did, especially the women. No one wants to talk about that.

I do happen to agree with The Spiker and company; the only way a person can be heard is by expressing themselves.
My greatest contention is; I will always maintain, the most effective way for a person or race to represent or advance themselves is through education.
Stop and think about it. I have been on a soap box for years expounding on the benefits of education. The only way any nationality, race or society will advance is through education.
As bad as the minorities think they have it in American society today, the only way they have advanced to the position they are in now is through; you got it, EDUCATION. Along with the education comes refinement. That applies to ALL people.

Never in the history of the USA has there been the opportunity for minorities to advance themselves as there is now; if they work their asses off, behave, follow the rules, are dedicated to the country, eventually they will move up the ladder of success. Most important in that mix is EDUCATION.
In part I blame our government for not putting more focus, effort and money toward educating this country’s citizens. They are too busy BUYING our acceptance all over the world when they should be putting the hand-outs into developing the USA instead of other countries.

That was 4 years ago. I am sure the $$$$$ has increased dramatically since then. Is this what the hard-working, taxpaying American people bust their ass for day in and day out, for our stumble-bum politicians to give away 40 billion dollars a year? The vast majority of the money never gets to it’s intended source.
That 40 billion can go into so many different directions here in this country to help promote the health and welfare of our people. What imbeciles makes these kind of decisions?
I hope that someday there will be peace and harmony between the races in this country. If for no other reason, so our future generations will not have to put up with this same nonsense.
