NYC Council members vote to give themselves $36,000 raise

It must be nice to have a JOB where a person/people can vote in their own pay raises.

The hard working councilmen in the Big Apple just raised their pay Friday by 32 percent. 32 percent at one crack is a hell of a boost. Usually when the pay is increased, in most industries it is 3- 5%. Like all politicians; I guess these people think they are special.

Nearly all companies plan to give raises to their employees next year, with an average salary bump of 3 percent, the same increase workers received this year, according to a new survey released Monday by Towers Watson. Raises for executives and management will be 3.1 percent.Aug 10, 2015

The council voted 40-7 to approve the pay-raise legislation. Members of the 51-member council, which is overwhelming Democratic. This sounds to me something a republican dominated council would do. The democrats are consistently doing their Robin Hood dance, wanting to take from the rich and give to the poor. I guess that only applies to others and not them.

Members’ salaries are rising from $112,500 to $148,500, retroactive to Jan. 1. Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito’s salary is increasing from $112,500 to $164,500. Those speakers in all walks of government must be some very important people.

This is a little mini-story I love. Some guy was in negotiations with his boss when he told him; I don’t mind too much if I get f–ked a little in this deal but I do  like to get kissed;  it would make me fell better.  

These FOLKS are not even giving the New York taxpayers a little kiss.
