It was probably the disappointment more than anything else that prompted the MVP of football to walk out of a news conference after the game. He was visibly shaken over his teams loss to the Denver Broncos . The reality is, the Broncos bucked him off and kicked his ass on the way down.
I have seen it so many times before when the media hypes up someone to the hilt, to such an extent, it seems someone else puts the mallocchi on them and they fall apart when the bell rings. Here comes Cam Newton.
After all the poor lad signed a 105 million dollar deal for 5 years. Facing the reporters in victory and defeat is part of why they make the big bucks.
No one can hold it against the guy for feeling bad about losing but I have said so many times in my life; a person has to know more how to take a punch than to give one.
It is a good thing for a person to lose once and awhile, it shows that everyone is human and on any givenSunday even the Cleveland Browns may beat them; although very unlikely.
IF it was not for the fumble in the end zone at the beginning of the game when the Broncos recovered the ball, it would have been an entirely different game.
I hate the word IF. IF is the most insignificant word in the dictionary. What does if mean?
A supposition. What does suppose mean? Supposedly it means nothing. Suppose that word didn’t exist. I suppose it wouldn’t be written in the dictionary.
Next week I will be starting a world wide campaign to have the words IF and SUPPOSE deleted from all the dictionaries in the world. They are totally useless words, Supposedly.
So I SUPPOSE IF CAM Newton didn’t lose the game yesterday he would not be in a state of depression as he displayed yesterday during his very short interview. After 2 questions that he really didn’t answer, the catatonic grid iron star got his hat and made his exit. That isn’t very conducive to demonstrating what good sportsmanship is all about.
There were a few incidents in the game that raised my one uni-brow.
Late in the 4th quarter, long before the 2 minute warning, Cam did not use a hurry up offence as I would have expected?? One year I saw the Cowboys score 2 touch downs in under 2 minutes to come back and win the game.
# 2 – when he had the ball knocked out of his hand, he had an opportunity to recover it but stood there frozen like a deer looking into the headlights of a 16 wheeler. Inexperience – frustrated – shell shocked or envelope??? No one knows what the shadow knows.
All in all; as Super Bowl games go this one pretty uneventful. All the hype and build up to the game was disappointment; I would think especially to the chump organizations that paid 5 million for a 30 second commercial. Talk about bring a jar of Vaseline to the game. I guess the companies that have that kind of soldi don’t care about get buckets.
As the old saying goes; All that glitters is not gold. Cam Newton is living proof of the cliche.
All of the pamper and coddling starts when the kiddies are very young, with these pathetic PC-ers constantly complimenting their brats even when the do something wrong or make a mistake. GOOD JOB – GOOD JOB; this is all I hear when I go to some of the little tikes sporting events. The kid just hit a foul ball – smacks the umpire in the face with the bat and his princess mother and goof-ball father are in the stands yelling; GOOD JOB – GOOD JOB Idaho. They are some real sick characters. Where do these screwballs come up with some of the names they chose for their kids.
It is absolutely comparative that kids learn from a young age how to accept defeat or losing in their life. If all they ever eat in their childhood is filet mignon and somewhere down the line someone shoves some liver under their nose, they probably will have to go to rehab for about a 2 months to recover from the shock. It is very important to teach a kid how to accept losing with dignity. But if their ignorant PC parents are oblivious, how are they going to teach their kids right from wrong??
Everyone should have had the experience of growing up in the 40’s and 50’s to get a real perspective on life.
I don’t want to take anything away from Cam. He is a great player and should have a lot of good years ahead of him if he can get his mind right. That remains to be seen.
