Jenrry Mejia New York Mets reliever has walked a few people during his career but yesterday got his permanent walking papers from MLB after testing positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance for the third time. Like in the sport he loved so much; three strikes and he is out.

In his time he was known for his fast and hard pitching. The reliever was to make $2.47 million this year, but now won’t receive a dime of it.
Under MLB rules, Mejia can apply for reinstatement, but would have to serve a two-year suspension at minimum.
It really doesn’t add up that anyone would inject this drug into their system that is not intended for humans and blow millions of dollars in the process.
I know that druggies are stupid enough to shoot up but they are not risking millions of dollars if they get caught
The desired effect for an athlete that uses Boldenone as Mejia did, include increased lean muscle mass, strength, and the ability to train longer and harder. Those are the pluses. The minuses are, the side effects are irreversible.

The major side effects of steroid use include an increased risk of cancer, increased risk of heart and liver disease, jaundice, fluid retention, reduction in HDL-C (“good cholesterol”), high blood pressure, changes in blood coagulation, increased risk of atherosclerosis, swelling of the soft tissues of the extremities (edema), and obstructive sleep apnea.
There are so many athletes that have gone that route knowing that if they caught what the consequences would be; so how can we fell sorry for them?

As we can see this is not just a problem in the USA but is prevalent around the world.
There is so much pressure put on people in sports to be faster – stronger – have more endurance that some of them have to resort to taking performance enhancing drugs to either keep up with the other or exceed what they do.
So it can be said with a good deal of certainty; the drug they are taking to make them better at what they do is essentially killing them, ruining their career and in most cases bankrupting them.
It is like Thanksgiving dinner. It takes a week to put it together and 15 minutes to eat it.
It took these turkeys all their life to attain a certain degree of excellence and then 5 minutes to blow it. Right Lance??????
Isn’t there anyone left in this world that is satisfied with being normal or average?
