I an interview the other day with Scott Pelley; Wild Bill’s wife probably told the biggest lie she has ever told when she say that she doesn’t lie
I don’t think I have seen her stutter and be so uneasy with a question as the one Pelley asked her. Her face got red and her eyes looked like the wheels on a slot machine when someone hits a jackpot. I give Pellet a lot of credit for putting the squeeze on her as he did.
To begin with; Bill’s wife is a politician and all politicians lie. How does anyone think they get elected? They certainly would have not been elected if the told the truth.
One of the Achilles heals that The Trumpster suffers from; he is too honest, although I will agree he does take it to extremes sometime. Whatever goes into his ears comes out of his mouth. Putting that aside; I would rather be in a fox-hole with him than any of the other people running for the Big Chair.
I can bet the George Washington did a somersault in his grave when Bill’s wife answered Pelley’s question the way she did.
Interview:
Scott Pelley asked Bill’s wife if she ever lied to the American people.
BILL’S WIFE: Mm Hmm. Well, I will tell you, I have tried in every way I know how, literally from my years as a young lawyer, all the way through my time as Secretary of State to level (not tell the truth but to level) with the American people.
PELLEY: You talk about leveling with the American people. Have you always told the truth?
CLINTON: I have always tried to. TRIED to.
PELLEY: Some people are going to call that wiggle room that you just gave yourself “always tried to.”
Jimmy Carter said, “I will never lie to you.”
CLINTON: You’re asking me to say, “have I ever?” I don’t believe I ever have. I don’t believe I ever have. I don’t believe I ever will. I am going to do the best I can to level with the American people.
She never really answered Pelley’s question. Maybe Pelley should have asked if Wild Bill ever lied.
Birds of a feather share the same nest; when a person lives with a dog that has fleas, they usually have to go to sick bay or something like that.
The astounding thing about Bill’s wife’s supporters; they would stand by her no matter what she represents and regardless of her very questionable history.
If her character is so much in question; I question the characters that support her.
