Todd Starnes: Student punished for criticizing vegetarian

Unfortunately, our society is cultivating  a bunch of wimpy – panty wasted kids with all of the rules and PC-regulations they are putting on the books.

For the most part, the kids that grow up in the Ghettos are a different story. They learn the facts of life the hard-way that tends to make them more resilient and able to cope with the hard facts of life as they grow up.

The typical PC pathetic parents do not have any idea what harm they are doing to their kids by being so attentive to their every need.   I think the are referred to as Helicopter Parents because hey are constantly hovering over their kids. Let the kids fall down and get up themselves. You can’t be there when they are 35 still whipping their butt.

All I hear when I am at a sporting event or something of that nature, even when little Johnny makes a blunder is; GOOD JOB JOHNNY, GOOD JOB JOHNNY.  That Good Job term that is used so frequently has become totally misused and inappropriate.

Some fools in the New Jersey school system passed an Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act resulting a sixth-grader getting into a jack-pot after he poked fun at a vegetarian classmate for eating a veggie sandwich. So what!!!!!

Whatever happened to the days when kids settled their own disputes. That made men out of boys. Today, in some circumstances, we are hard pressed to tell the difference between a boy and a girl. Some of the male population are so pampered by their parents and grandparents it is deplorable and they are being turned in very delicate Lilies.

I have always maintained that the harder/tougher a kid is brought up, without being brutalized and using common-sense, the better they will be prepared to deal with the adversities of life.

I have a couple of saying I live by. One is;  A person has to know more how to take a punch in the face and shake it off, than learn how to give a punch.

There are many people that will not subscribe to my methodology but take it from one that knows, the old ways were the better ways.  This is a rough world we live in, getting rougher everyday. If our kids can not weather the storms and learn how to swing back, they are fair game to their nemesis. I have absolute proof of my ideologies.

I categorically  do not condone excessive bullying but I do condone, what I will label; interactive ball busting.  It helps develop character in kids.

Put the PC in the closet all of you pampering fools that call yourself parent and while you are at it; drop the GOOD JOB  Johnny routine, it has ran it’s course.

Sometimes the truth hurts but a wise person is one who will  listen to others with real life experiences and they will benefit by it.
