Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal has vetoed legislation allowing clergy to refuse performing gay marriage and protecting people who refuse to attend the ceremonies.
Neither did the threat of withdrawal by the NFL / the Super Bowl Super Bowl or The Hollywood presents in Georgia Peach State prevented Gov. Nathan Deal from signing a bill that he felt was an infringement on his states rights and a challenge to the US Constitution.
In his opinion and most of the people from his state the discrimination is reversed and being perpetrated against them.
Instead, Deal cited the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the First Amendment, the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, and the fact that the “religious liberty” bill proposed to fix a problem that didn’t exist in Georgia, when he posted his veto message on his website.
“Therefore, as I have examined the protections this bill seeks to provide to religious organizations and people of faith I can find no examples that any of the things this bill seeks to protect us against have ever occurred in Georgia,” he said.
“I do not think that we have to discriminate against anyone to protect the faith-based community in Georgia,” he added.
“Some of those in the religious community who support this bill have resorted to insults that question my moral convictions and my character,” he said. “Some within the business community who oppose this bill have resorted to threats of withdrawing jobs from our state. I do not respond well to insults or threats.”
Some time Biting the Bullet and being a person of moral and personal convictions can be very costly. Someone like Governor Deal is a man that should be admired, even if some people do not agree with him.

There is so much controversy about the gay thing, it is almost too sensitive of a subject to debate. All I can say is; we should have squatters rights, we were here first!! If there only was John and Joe – Jill and Jane; none of us would be here. Using logical / commonsense, what makes more sense?
I think all people in this country should be protected by the Constitution. On the other hand; what bothers me is we are being forced to adjust to situations that are totally unacceptable by most people in this country. The problem lies with the SILENT MAJORITY who through the years have become more and more silent. They are literally giving the farm away because of their silence.
As I alluded to the other day; when the hell did we ever think we would see an stand-up, law abiding, taxpaying, patriotic couple be fined $135,000.00 for refusing to make a cake for a guy couples wedding?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Where is the insanity going to end?
You fools that consider yourself the Silent Majority better start opening that thing that sits on your shoulders you shove food into three times a day before you will be left naked and only one thing to hang on to; many two depending on your sex. Where is your backbone?? You have relinquished all of your dignity.
