WASHINGTON — President Obama commuted the sentences of 61 prisoners on Wednesday, part of an effort to more aggressively use the commutation power and call for changes to sentencing laws, particularly with respect to low-level drug offenses.
Here is just one more of hundreds, maybe thousands of slaps in the face to our justice system and all the people that were effected by these crimes when Obama gave an early release to yet more prisoners.
Keep in mind FOLKS, many of these prisoners that Obama released were lifers. People that are lifers usually have committed some very serious crimes. Is Obama sending a message to the judge and jury that convicted these people that their opinions are not valid. Why have a trial at all???
It wasn’t too lone ago when a New York fisherman got sentenced to seven months in prison, a $603,000 fine and three years of supervised release following his incarceration, all of over fishing his limit. Where is the logic or fairness? Here is the justice scale, you weigh it. Fishing – drug pushing, possibly killing people?????
In an article by Allen West, he has substantiated that many of the people Obama has released in his bleeding heart program are repeat offenders, former drug dealers and drug users.
This may be tooooo deep for our president to understand. It is not just the crime that these criminal committed and were sent to prison for; it is the trickle down effect it had on all the people that were their victims and their families. It was for all the prior crimes these people committed before and never caught.
How can this man justify these unbelievably decisions he makes that have adversely effect so many people. Is it possible that he really believes in some of the un-explainable things he has done? If one of his family members were a victim of these convicts, would be have the same liberal PC mindset??? I don’t think so.
It is not the one particular crime that these people are caught for that is the issue; it is all of the damage and destruction caused by their actions that should be considered.
How many people OD’d from the drugs some of these drug pushers sold? How many are mentally screwed up for life. How many families did they destroy. Those should be the considerations before he swings open the gates of freedom to them.
Based on the facts of the terrorists he released at Gitmo, that went directly back to their old ways in their terrorists organizations, his early release of the prisoners decision are easy to understand where the man’s logic is. He has none.
In all fairness to all the parties concerned; before Obama or anyone else with this kind of abusive power would make these kinds of irrational decisions, they should consult with the families of the people that were effected by their crimes and get their opinions. What can be more fair than that?
Is it a fact of; no one tells me what to do?? I have my suspicions.
