Every day is a new day and every day more underhanded surprises surface in the world of politics that just astounds me.
I have no idea how long this sleazy practice of congress has been going on. I heard it for the first time on 60 Minutes last night.
On 60 minutes last night Norah O’Donnell did a piece on a bill called Stop Act, introduced by one of the good guys US representative from Fla. David Jolly.

The short of it. Jolly has introduced legislation called the Stop Act, mandating congressional members to discontinue their mandatory guidelines/practices set up by their parties from soliciting money from the citizens of this country over the phone during their working hours. FOLKS, this is done on your dime and your time not theirs. Being done when congress is supposed to be concentrating on all of the dire problems we are having in this country.
As just one example; DCCC chairman Steve Israel stated that he spent roughly 4,200 hours on the phone soliciting people for money while in office. 4,200 begging for money, time that could have been used to try and correct some of the disastrous conditions we have. That equates to 525 DAYS @ 8 hours per day Israel spent soliciting money from taxpayers instead of doing what he is being paid for; working for the American people.

Situations like these are happening or exist all over the country by the 10’s of 1,000’s and go unnoticed while congress is on the phone begging for money and not doing their jobs.

The Jack-asses and The Pachyderms have their own sweat shops set up in office buildings in DC that are off limits to the public. These offices buildings are equipped with cubicles like in the 3rd world country where the congressmen from each party, are compelled – are compelled to spend XXXX amount of hours each day – week and month begging for money from the citizens of this country. Is that mind-boggling or what? What are the limits, if any, are the lowest these people can stoop to???

It is no wonder that there is hardly ever anything passed in DC in as timely manner when these parasites on the phones are calling people around the country begging for money?

Possibly they should try begging on a street corner with a tin cup during their 2 hour lunch break to make their quota.
The only piece of legislation I ever saw them pass with any type of expedience was when the government was going to shut down. In record time, congress passed a bill that would insure that their pay checks would not stop if and when that would happen.
The answer to the 64 dollar question is; they have too much power and can do whatever they want with impunity, behind closed doors, clandestinely, underhandedly and in secrecy at the taxpayers expense.
These clowns are paid very well for what they do; as we know is very little. In 2014 the pay scale for a congressman was between $ 179,000 – $191,533.00. That is not chump change.
When we stop and figure, if these guys and gals are spending 50% of their time begging for money for their party, 50% of their salaries should be cut. They are only doing 50% of what they were elected for, if that.
It is great that there are some investigative news agencies that dig into the inner workings of our government. If it wasn’t for them, this country would be in far more serious trouble than we are. Not that anything changes; it just makes the public more aware of how the government is screwing the public. They do it with a smile on their face and no shame.
What the public knows about the inner workings of the government is probably 5% or less of what really goes on behind closed doors or in their clandestine cubicles.
I guess JFK said it all when he was sitting in the Big Chair. This is my football and you are going to play the game my way!!
As I have said many time; we are just pawns in the big game of chess and the politicians move us around at will for their own personal gains.
Thank goodness there are a few politicians like David Jolly that are not one of the rats in the rat pack. Like the cop Serpico; it is very difficult to buck the system and win.

Take a look at what extremes that the Pachyderms are going through to stop The Trumpster in getting the republican nomination. They write the rule book as they go. I don’t care if it is Trump or not. The popular vote should count and be the deciding factor in who gets the nod, not the delegates. What is the purpose of having a public election if the results are for naught. Just another way for the Rat Pack to try and put on a good public face. In all reality; think about it. They are telling the American people their opinions and votes don’t mean shit!!! Just another gigantic way of pissing away government dollars.
Their answer to this nomination manipulation; that is what the rule book says. They are forgetting to tell us that THEY wrote the book.
Through the years of manipulating the system, these good old boys and gals have twister – turned – stepped on – took advantage of just about anything they could get their greedy shit hooks on to make it self-serving to them.
Is there a way to stop them?? I really don’t think so with the exception of a revolution. The system is too big and too powerful.
