Saturday night at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner at the Casa Bianca, comedian Larry Wilmore refereed to Mr. O as his nigger. According to reports Obama did not take offense to the comment. If find that very unusual to say the least.
Yo Barry, you did it, my nigger. You did it. I guess Barry is Obama’s nick name for his closet friends.

I don’t care who uses the word or in what context it is used, it is very derogatory. I would think that most black people find the word offensive.

a victim of prejudice similar to that suffered by black people; a person who is economically, politically, or socially disenfranchised.
I don’t see anywhere in the dictionary that exceptions are given for whom it is said to or how the person wants to interpret it. Let’s face it; nigger is a very offensive word and should not be used under any circumstances, especially to the president of the USA in a public (for the world to see) setting.
If Mr. O was not offended by Wilmore’s remark, I think he should have been. If the two men were in a pool hall shooting some stick and drinking a few beers and one said to the other; Hey nigger that was a good shot; that changes the circumstances completely.
This was not the setting on Saturday night when Wilmore dropped the N bomb on the president of the USA. I am sure that may people of all races found that most offensive.
Obama probably wanted to demonstrate to the crowd that he is not ashamed of where he came from and still is one of the boys.
As the old saying goes; there is always the time and the place. That was not the time or the place. Very poor taste and judgement Wilmore!!
