Not calling the Trumpsters by his name; while  Mrs. O  was delivering her commencement address, she put the wolf on Donald and suggested that the graduates not look at that candidate favorably.

Some folks (same term as her hubby uses FOLKS)  out there today seem to have a very different perspective. They seemed to view our diversity as a threat to be contained rather than as a resource to be tapped. They act as if name calling is an acceptable substitute for thoughtful debate.

That can be debatable. Has Trump come down heavy on some people? Absolutely yes. Have they deserved his crude criticism? Some yes, some no. There is a big difference in telling like it is and putting the bad mouthing on someone.

Mrs. O continues; We don’t build up walls to keep people out, the First lady declared to the 2016 class of the City College of New York, adding, We know that our greatness has always depended on contributions from people who were born elsewhere but sought out this country and made it their home.

Let us call that a partial accurate statement.

When opening the immigration doors in the early 1900’s the USA was in dire need of diverse people from all over the world.  We can say it was in the developmental stages. It made sense to open the immigration doors.

We didn’t have an abundance of criminals and degenerates entering this country because their own countries were shit canning them. We didn’t have terrorists clandestinely mixed in the groups that were entering this country with the intent to destroy it.  We didn’t have a bunch of wack jobs running the government that gave the store away and treated the NEWCOMERS better than the citizens that were born here.  It is a different time and should be played by different rules.

As I said many times. I have not seen one, not one of the bleeding hearted liberals open their OWN front door and welcome and any illegal or legal immigrants to live with them. As long as there is no inconvenience or imposition, they will keep preaching their ignorance.  If the immigration movement ever infringed on the chosen people’s lifestyles, we would see an entirely different attitude emerge.

It is very easy to sit on the top of Nob Hill, looking down on the Little People and throw them a bread crumb once and awhile as long as they don’t have to give up their slice of the loaf.

Different time – different circumstances; should dictate different policies.
