After loss, US women’s soccer goalie Solo calls Sweden ‘cowards’

United States goalkeeper Hope Sour Solo; proves just how classless some American can be!!!

Classless Hope Solo, the controversial goalkeeper for the USA’s soccer team, who has a natural  knack for sticking the soccer ball  in her big mouth, lashed out against her victorious opponents, the Swedes after they put the boots to the American team in Rio.

“I thought we played a courageous game,” Solo said. “I also think we played a bunch of cowards. The best team did not win today. I strongly and firmly believe that.”

I have a news flash for The Mouth; the best team did win!!!

The Swedes beat the U.S. 4-3 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the quarterfinals. The result means the world’s top-ranked team will miss out on an Olympic medal in women’s soccer for the first time.

Sweden’s coach Pia Sundhage came back and answered the insult with style. “It’s OK to be a coward if you win'”. She is the same woman who coached the United States to back-to-back Olympic gold medals in 2008 and 2012.

Solo continued her rant; “Sweden dropped off. They didn’t want to open play.”  “They didn’t want to pass the ball. They didn’t want to play great soccer.”

I wonder if motor mouth Solo ever heard of strategic playing?  It is not always the bull in the China shop that wins the contest, it may be the team that out finesses the other that comes out on top.

The USA, in general, has a bad reputation in the world for being  arrogant and outspoken. Loudmouth broads like Solo don’t do our public relations any good.

The concept of the Olympics is to bring the world together (fat chance) and to demonstrate good sportsmanship. Our ambassador Solo got The Big F on her report card.

Why is it that there are always a few idiots in an organization that makes the rest of their associates/comrades look bad?

I still contend; the Olympics, for what it cost to put on for a few days every four years, when the world is starving, is a gigantic waste of money, surrounded by corruption and kickbacks.  Cut the cord people.

Unfortunately, most good intentioned things go awry  when politicians and crooks (something) get their sticky fingers in the pie.
