Obama frees him — and he is killed execution-style:

( NEWSER) — A former gang member saw his prison sentence commuted by President Obama in November — only to be killed almost exactly two months later.

Demarlon Thomas, 31, one of the people that Obama thought needed a helping hand and an early release from the slams, was transitioning out of the federal prison system in a Saginaw, Mich., halfway house when he was shot to death by two masked gunmen.

Thomas was a former member of Saginaw’s Sunny Side Gang.

According to police, they were positive the gunmen were on the hunt for Thomas.”They were looking for this person,” a Michigan State Police officer says, describing the shooting as “execution-style”.

It is very probable that Thomas was killed in retribution for some of his past sins. He would have been better off if Mr. O was not so benevolent.

It would be very interesting to do a current follow-up on all of the people that Obama or any other political paroled or pardoned, just to see what they did with their lives when they were sprung.

3 IN 4 FORMER PRISONERS IN 30 STATES ARRESTED WITHIN 5 YEARS OF RELEASE

WASHINGTON – An estimated two-thirds (68 percent) of 405,000 prisoners released in 30 states in 2005 were arrested for a new crime within three years of release from prison, and three-quarters (77 percent) were arrested within five years, the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) announced today.

The way I see it; 3 out of 4 prisoners reoffending in 5 years is not a good track record. I wonder if the guys with the pens in their hands ever consider those very poor statistics?

In the case of Demarlon Thomas, the cards were not in his favor and Lady Luck surely was not smiling down at him.
