Many people around the world enjoy iced coffee and other cool drinks from baristas employed by Starbucks, Caffe Nero, and Costa Coffee. However, they may want to think twice before ordering again. The BBC’s “Watchdog” program performs consumer affairs checks on popular businesses. Their latest discovery found fecal bacteria in samples from the three popular coffee chains.

I think everyone knows what fecal matter is. If not, the next time you relieve yourself, stand-up, turn around and look into the bowl.  Nasty HUH??

Yes, that’s right, bacteria that is present in feces is now included with customer’s ice at Starbucks, Caffe Nero, and Costa Coffee.

Samples taken from various stores found changeable levels of contamination. Head of policy at the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Tony Lewis said that the amounts were “concerning.”  He added that the bacteria “should not be present at any level – never mind the significant numbers found.”

Information like this should make anyone think seriously before drinking anything made at Starbucks, Caffe Nero or Costa Coffee.

There are so many down-sides and serious issues to deal with where immigration is concerned. Many of the people that enter this country from Middle Eastern countries were born, raised and lived their entire lives under different customs than we have in the USA.  They have totally different habits as far as, social habits, hygiene,  behavioral patterns that are foreign to our way of life and many times find it hard to assimilate.

That is the case with Starbucks. The immigrsants dysfunctional hygiene habits have become a health hazard to the patrons.

Some of these habits/customs may not be a big issue to them but it is to the countries they are fleeing to. In many countries they eat with their hands instead of utensils out of communal bowls – they wipe their butt with their finger and MAYBE, MAYBE, they will wash their hands.

Are these habits harmful to them? It is like a person that has become immune to a particular poison because they used it in such small quantities over a long period of time, their bodies have become accustom to it. BUT, the BIG BUTT; the people/person that is not immune, will be effected.

This seems to be one of the issues the coffee giant Starbucks and a few others are experiencing.  They have pledged to place 1,000’s of immigrant into their work force and most probably did not train them properly before they started working.

There are a few consideration many of the immigrants have not thought of or don’t care about. The major factor is; they are guests in our country, we are not guests in their country. But, because we have such a bleeding-heart/PC pathetic society, many of us have caved into accepting their ways instead of them adapting to ours.

According to the Muslim cultures; visitors in their country MUST obey their customs. Is turn-around fair play??

I am the last one in the world  that wants to reform anyone. These people have been living their life styles long before the Nina – Pinta and Santa Maria ever set sail.

In the same token, they must respect the way of life, rules, regulations and customs of the country they are guests in. If it requires training before they enter the country; so be it. IF they are not willing to honor others customs; they should be refused entry.

The immigration problem is not just one dimensional; it covers a plethora of different aspects that should be considered before any country puts out the welcome mats.

As Starbucks has experienced; sometime a good deed came come back to bite them in their bottom line.
