Saudi anti-corruption sweep leads to high-profile arrests

This is so unusual in a country that has been dominated by the Heavy-hitting, corrupted  Camel Jockies for centuries.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

(CNN)Saudi Arabia’s newly formed anti-corruption committee have arrested at least 17 princes and top officials, according to a list obtained by CNN and cited by a senior royal court official.

The list includes Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, the billionaire businessman who owns 95% of Kingdom Holding, which holds stakes in global companies such as Citigroup, Twitter, Apple and News Corp.

There is a new sheriff in town named Mohammed bin Salman, that is kicking ass and taking names.  The new lawman is going to change the way the business as usual operates. His intentions are to bring law and order back to the desert and eliminate corruption. To me that is a stupendous undertaking and I wish him the best.

I watched an interview with the man the other day and was very impressed with his ambitions to turn things around. He is a diamond in the sand.

Many of the Crooked Knife carriers are multi-billionaires that feel the need for greed. How much $oldi is enough for some of the people?

Among those detained is Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. Forbes has the poor guy’s net worth @ $18.7 billion.   No wonder why the guy has to steal; he doesn’t know where his next meal is coming from.  Probably stole the shades.

I can’t help but wonder what type of accommodation and what kind of special treatment they are receiving  in the Slams of the Sand?
This is some serious business. Can we even imagine Rockefeller –  Getty – Firestone – Walton – Koch – Mars or someone from the Gates family being hauled away in hand-cuffs?
The new sheriff even took a giant leap ahead recently allowing women to drive in his country. It was one giant step ahead for Saudi, one enormous fender-bender for the world.
This sheriff has renewed my faith in honesty and integrity; something absolutely lacking in the world’s leaders. It is very refreshing.
Possibly some of the crooked politicians here in the good old US of A can take a few lessons from the Saudi Sheriff. We sorely need some changes in this country.
My hat is off to Mohammed bin Salman.

Hopefully he does not get iced for his efforts. To throw a monkey-wrench into business as usual, that has existed for 1,000’s of years is a VERY big and dangerous UNDERTAKING (pardon the pun).
