Not a bad return on investment.
In another similar situation, a man in the USA found 7.5 million dollars in a storage unit in which he purchased it’s contents. The unit had been abandon for years.
Some lucky stiff lay down a few dollar$ to buy the contents of a locker at an auction. The locker had been abandoned for quite some time. For the few dollars he invested, he came away with 7.5 million dollar$ in cash that he found tucked away in a cardboard box.
The origin of the found money is not clear yet, butt I am sure that’s the finder is in no hurry to locate the original owner.
A while back I read a story about two guys that bought a house in California, never bothered going through the garage that was detached from the house, only to find 30 million dollars worth of painting stored in the garage. They had no idea that the previous owner was a well-known but obscure artist.
As the old saying goes. You don’t have to be good, you just have to be lucky or be at the right place at the right time.
