US military sends $331 million bill to Saudis, UAE after refueling ‘accounting error’

How the hell does ANYONE make a 331 million dollar accounting error??? 33.00 – 33,000 maybe, BUTT 331 million??

CNN: The US military is seeking a $331 million reimbursement from Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates after discovering it failed to properly charge the Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen for aerial refueling services due to an “accounting error,” the Pentagon said Thursday.While the US decided last month that it would no longer refuel Saudi aircraft conducting strike missions over Yemen, the Pentagon still expects to be compensated for the outstanding costs accrued between March 2015 and November of this year.

I can’t help BUTT wonder, how long it is going to take Saudi to jump on paying the delinquent tab??

On top of the slip of the pen or the stroke of a key, the supposed error goes back 4 years. Who is watching the store. Any longer, it may have gone totally undetected. 

The ERROR may have been deliberately made and someone in the government got a huge kickback from the neglected transaction.

Dec 3, 2018 – America can afford universal health care, but proponents still don’t have a specific plan. … errors that could finance two-thirds of the cost of a government-run … to win intra-party arguments without really making any headway on the core … the same dollar can be transferred back and forth many times over.

Situations like this are not unusual folks, they happen everyday, we just don’t hear about them. Yes that is TRILLION. The fact of the matter is, government is too big, too complex and too many thieves on the payroll with sticky fingers are involved to police it properly. There are 1,ooo’s of people that are paid by Uncle Sam that are not doing their job.   

The government is probably the largest employer of non-productive, featherbedding on the planet.  Biggest problem, there is no accountability. Who in the government is going to take the rap for the 331 million dollar accounting error. I can almost guarantee one thing, it will not be the head of that department. They probably will try to hang it on the janitor. What they will most likely will do, is promote the head of the department that made the mistake and hide them somewhere else.  You know, the same as the pedophile priest that are assigned to other parishes. 

Mathematical errors like this are not made in private industry.  The company would have to close up the shop in short order. BUTT when some entity like the government has the ace in the whole where they print their own money, and can hide their  mistakes, it is a different ballgame. 

It probably a good thing that the American public does not know 1/1,000th of the mismanagement and going on’s of our government. The street would resemble what the France did the last few weeks. 

What is the solution?? There probably isn’t one. The monster/government has grown too big and to out of control to bring back to any normality.  The end result being; implosion to the highest degree. It is not if, BUTT only when it will happen. 

Just a few examples of your hard earned tax dollar$ at work folks!!! Kinda makes you proud and at ease to sleep at night, HUH???
