Chicago elects Lori Lightfoot as first gay and first black female mayor in city’s history

This will be very interesting to see if Lightfoot has a heavy enough hand and can get control of The Windy City’s monumental problems. Not since The Daily clan had control has anyone been able to govern with any authority.

It is a known fact; criminals love PC-ers and bleeding-hearts. They (door mat them) walk and run all over them.

We ALWAYS have to give a person a shot at doing their thing. I hope that Lightfoot has been exposed to the streets as she came up. There is nothing better on this planet than to walk in those reality shoes; or in her case slippers.

I will trade all the education/book-learning in the world for a good dose of street sense and common sense. Two gifts some people were not born or raised with. I know some very brilliant people that do not know what end of an umbrella goes up.

When deal with people from the other side; one has to be able to think like them and communicate in a language they understand. If not; better be flexible, so they can kiss their ass good-bye.
