Easter is just another way for some very enterprising people/hustlers to make a few dollar$. Between candy sales (a dentist must have been one of the originators), stuff rabbits dolls and all the other trash connected to the holiday, it has evolved into just another money making enterprise.

I would bet a dozen colored eggs; if you AXED most kids what Easter symbolized, they would have no idea.

The only holidays I have any use for is Thanksgiving and the 4th of July. There are no strings attach to entice people to go out and spend their hard earned money on gifts.

Christmas is WAYYY out of control. Some of the spoiled brats have enough toys in their play room they can sell them back to Toys Are Us. They usually throw the toy in the corner and play with the box.

Christmas is everyday for most/many of the kids in the world. Their excessive parents try to make-up/compensate for their inadequacies by overloading them with gifts year round, because they have no parenting skills. They want to be PC and buddies!! Fa-get-a-bout-it!!! Be a parent 1st and then a buddy.

Thanksgiving is all about family and friends getting together; breaking bread and scarfing up a few turkey drum sticks. If you want to bring a bottle of Campobasso vino to the host ad hostess that is OK but not a requirement.

It is universal Folks. The more big business can hustle out of you, the more they want.
