Alex Acosta resigns: Perverts like Jeffrey Epstein don’t deserve a ‘deal of a lifetime’

Years after giving/assisting a multi-billionaire/child molester/trafficker a sweet heart deal, Acosta decided it would be prudent to step down. It is too little too late.

Acosta, who was a U.S. attorney in Miami back in 2008, helped Epstein secure a plea deal that resulted in an 18-month sentence. He served 13 months. The deal was criticized as lenient because he could have faced a life sentence.

The ONLY deals that should ever be allowed in the court of law (if any) should be for misdemeanors. I do not consider child sex-trafficking a misdemeanor.

In these very high profile cases where the defendant gets away with a slap on the wrist, there should be a panel set up to review the judges decision. It is a disservice to the victims and a mockery to the justice system. If the judge is found to be in-error or on the take, they should be shit canned immediately.

It is fortunate that some news media expose these crooked/on-the-take judges, BUTT there should be provisions available to over-turn their decisions and disbar them.
