Mathis, is a very experienced and wise man. In his new book he complimented G.H.W. Bush but not his son, George W. Bush. I would conclude, for very good reasons.

Moving to our current president; when PDT showed General Mathis the exit door, he made a huge mistake. Experience as General Mathis has is invaluable. I guess PDT did not see the wisdom of keeping the general on his staff.

General Mathis is not the only very qualified person that PDT either dumped or they walked out on their own. There were many more. Not a good sign of maturity.
I don’t think that in the history of the presidency anyone had a greater turnover of staff and cabinet members than PDT. Hopefully he has become a little wiser as time passes.
The Turnover at the Top of
the Trump Administration

Some of the people on the turnover list probably were deserving of their political destiny, but many of the them were not. We all know that PDT can be his own worst enemy at times.
As I have alluded to before; the alternative would have been horrible. CHC & Wild Bill?? Heaven help us.
