Can we even imagine; what if the criminals would only reverse their efforts and put them into some positive/constructive, what a better world this would be.

This was no easy task, it took years to complete.

No one but people in the business can #appreciate the #planning/hard-work and engineering it takes to #construct a tunnel like this. From what I can see, it was HAND tunneled using #air-hammers to chisel out the solid rock. It was a #brilliant #accomplishment. The workers did not use a boring machine. It is not possible (see picture) to drill a square or rectangular hole.

It had to cost #millions to construct. That is just one small example of how much $oldi they make in the #drug-trade, executing a project of this magnitude to smuggle drugs into the USA.

The tunnel originates in Tijuana, Mexico, near the Otay Mesa Port of Entry and extends a total of 4,309 feet long — more than three-quarters of a mile. The next #longest-tunnel in the U.S., discovered in San Diego in 2014, was 2,966 feet long.

The #brilliantly/engineered tunnel features a complex cart and rail system, forced air ventilation, high-voltage electrical cables and panels, an elevator at the tunnel entrance and a #complex-drainage-system, according to U.S. Border Patrol. The only thing was miss was Tom Bodett, leaving the light on for them.

I have alluded to this fact many times. If the criminals in this world would would only put their efforts (some of them are brilliant) into something constructive instead of illegal; what a contribution they could make to society. It is in their DNA to be crooks. They get an #adrenaline-rush every-time they pull a caper.

Just an opinion. The drug war will NEVER come to a halt if the #idiots continue buying them. No #buyers, no #sellers; they would be out of business in a week. I blame the drug dealer for their part in #drug-trafficking, BUTT I put just as much blame onto the #fools that buy them. What would happen if everyone in the world quit going to the movie theaters?? They would go out of business. Sam-o-same-o.

Speaking of that; taking into consideration all the #movies that are available on the tube now. I would predict that in 10 years or less; we will be hard pressed to find a movie theater still open. It cost two people 30.00$ or more to go see a movie. That being said; I don’t have to get dress or put up with some #fools-blabbing-their-ass-off during the movie. I can accomplish all that and not even have to put on a pair of pants or a shirt.

I don’t even want to mention the cost of popcorn and soft drinks.
