The #old-adage was; control the way government does business by voting the right person into office. Is there really #THE-RIGHT-PERSON out there?? It seems to me they are #all-crooks. If that was not their intention when they first got elected, it doesn’t take long for them to get on the crooks/corrupt/bandwagon.
I really have to stretch my imagination to come up with one solid politician. The only one that has impressed me is Tulsi Gabbard. Now you tell me if this lady is impressive or not!! Topping off her achievements, she served in the military unlike so many other politicians that have not.

Yes they can and it occurred once. In 1864, President Abraham Lincoln, Republican, nominated Andrew Johnson, a Democrat to be his running mate. Johnson was the only Southern senator to remain loyal to the Union and was nominated to garner War Democrats’ votes. In 2008, Senator John McCain came very close to nominating Senator Joe Lieberman, the 2000 Democratic Vice Presidential nominee and at the time an Independent caucusing with the Democrats.
