I was just watching J J (Jokin Joe), president of the USA give his speech about the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Guess what; the guy made sense. He said something I have always wholeheartedly agree with.
One of his main purposes for abandoning the Afghan people, they will not help themselves. It has cost he USA billions of dollar to train them in every possible manner; supplying them with every sophisticated weapon know to mankind, with the exception of Nuclear bombs in order for them to learn to defend themselves, BUT they refuse to rise to occasion.
Years ago I was help a good friend of mine cutting up some fallen trees in his yard as a result of a storm. At one point I stopped and asked him where his 3 grown sons were. He said, they ere in the house watching TV. That is when I put the brakes on.
I told this pampering Pa pa; either get those lazy fools out here to help us or I am getting my hat.
The boys immediately came out and helped or I would have left. Moral of the story; you want me to help you; better do your part or I am out of here. So goes Afghanistan.
It is a real shame that the good people in the country have to suffer on account of their military’s lack of assisting to defend their country. But, the USA has to learn we are not the worlds watch dog or private bank account.
We have to start minding our own business – clean our house before getting involved elsewhere – lending a hand to others when we are in such disarray – and stay out of place we don’t belong or were not invited.
J J just scored a few points, BUTT needs a hell of a lot more to get into the plus column.
Look back at many of my posts. I repeatedly said; we have to take care of our country before we get involved with others. Hopefully (I doubt it ) the leaders of the USA will recognize that charity begins at home. These people across the pond we are trying so hard to defend or change their way of life have been fighting the same wars, for the same reasons, for 2,000 years and will not quit anytime soon. It has become part of their DNA.
J J; I will give you one thumbs up, but only one.
