Hong Kong makes first conviction for disrespecting national anthem after YouTube video edited song out
The conviction — the first of its kind — vindicates protestors who warned of surging totalitarianism from the Chinese Communist Party in Hong Kong
They may be Commies but at least they have some sense when it comes to patriotism, as it should be.
If caught disrespecting the flag or desecrating it, the conviction carries a maximum sentence of three years imprisonment and a fine up to a HK$50,000 (US$6,385).
Unlike the candy-ass law enforcement officers in the United States that allow criminals to tromp all over our flag, piss on it, burn it, I am sure that the Chinese will enforce these laws. I say; good for them.
It’s not a case of me agreeing with the communist way of life, it is the fact of respecting the flag of the country a person lives in.
