A belligerent drunk on a Delta Air Lines flight was served at least 10 vodka drinks and a glass of wine before groping a 16-year-old girl and her mother, court documents allege.
The teen was “terrified”
As the drunk continued to harass her the teen began to have a panic attack. She put her head down in her mother’s lap — and that’s when the man allegedly slid his “clammy fingers” underneath her shirt and groped for the clasp on her bra strap. “Trembling, petrified and crying,” the teen leaped out of her seat and away from the man, the lawsuit states.
I am totally surprised that the mother didn’t slap the shit out of the drunk or some of the candy-ass male passengers didn’t come to the lady’s defense. For the most part, I can say in this day and age men and chivalry is not what it used to be. Society keeps telling these fools that they may be abroad and not really a man and they start to act like one.
Once the plane landed, the flight attendants offered the woman and her daughter 5,000 free airline miles and an apology. To me that would be an insult.
What should be the airlines first consideration; passenger safety or selling booze to a drunk?? Obviously to most airlines, it is selling booze to a drunk at 8 to $12 a pop.
The lady and her young daughter that was molested by a drunk on a United Airlines flight are suing the airline for $2 million because as drunk as the passenger was they kept serving in booze. According to reports he had 10 airline size bottles of vodka and one glass of wine. I would think that there is enough to get anyone hammered.
As far as I am concerned that meager offering of airline miles was too little too late. The lady is suing for $2 million, I say award her 10 million.
Just like all of these sporting venues where drunks and attacks have become very commonplace, the owners put profit before safety. They refused to quit selling booze at their events just for the sake of the buck. If they had the health and welfare of their patrons at heart they would quit selling their fire water.
Those tiny bottles of booze are big profits for airlines, which are raking in the dough from selling those single-serve bottles of liquor and wine during flights. Profits from in-flight sales of booze was more than $43 million in a four-month period in 2014.
With the cost of living going up the way it has I would not be surprised if this number is doubled by now.
