Government on brink of shutdown ahead of midnight deadline

Overpaid and under performing is the mantra of the Senate and the Congress in this country or most probably all politicians.

I have been trying to figure this out for many years. Why do the politicians in DC always wait until the 11th hour to try to come up with a budget for the country and prevent agreement shut down??

From what I can ascertain Congress has two years to prepare between government potential shutdowns. And it never fails, the day, hours before the deadline they still have their fingers up their ass unable to come together and make a decision.

A couple things that really set up fire under my ass is. Congress is only obliged to work 133 days a year, while the average citizen has 240 working days a year, providing they are willing to work, a very big no no 4 letter word these days is WORK.

In that time period, if they do show up, they accomplish little to nothing. Secondly, can someone give me a logical answer to the question; why do the congressman continue to get paid during the shutdown while the rest of the government employees have to go on food stamps??

Don’t forget folks; these are the bastards that are supposed to be looking out for our best interests and they are the ones that voted that legislation in to make sure their $$$$ are not cut off during the shutdown. That can only tell us one thing, who comes first in this country, the politicians or the people they are supposedly represent.  I think the answer is pretty clear.

They have two years to prepare for the Thanksgiving dinner but the more majority of the time they always show up late and the bird is cold.

With all the other hassles we have going around in this country, adding a government shutdown is going to have a great effect on the already dying economy.

The addition to but too many to list individually:

Combine all of these perks up into one package, is no wonder that the majority of these people would run their mother over with an 18 Wheeler to maintain their positions in politics. I see it is absolutely disgraceful.

With all the perks and benefits Congress and the Senate it receives, they can probably get by without getting a weekly paycheck. They don’t deserve one anyway

Permit me to ask a stupid question. How many of these perks does the average American citizen have??

I have said this so many times but it was worth repeating. If Congress, the Senate and the rest of the politicians had to live by the same rules as the average citizen, we would see a dramatic change in their performance. They write the rules, they break the rules, all in an effort to further their own nest.

Why should our countries leaders have more perks than the people they represent?? Why should their pay continue when the rest of the country is shut off due to and unbalanced budget but they had two years to put together?? As they see in West Virginia, the shit just don’t add up. ANDDDDDDDDDDD, we the people continue to allow them to live in the lap of luxury.  The shit does not add up.

Just another issue adding to the downward spiral of the USA. Will these conditions ever change, don’t brt your lunch money on it.

Don’t bet your lunch money on it. The incompetence of our leaders from the top to the bottom has become incomprehensible. There is no reasonable or logical way they can justify their dereliction of duty.

All of these lowlife bastards remind me of a greedy son of a bitch that calls himself a father, who feeds himself while his kids are the starving. They continue to receive stuff their faces and their paychecks while the rest of the government is cut off.

Anymore, I think the slogan that has been the standard for this country for so many years should be changed from God Bless America to God save America. It is in dire straits period.

If a higher power does really exist, they may not even be able to turn things around.
