“War is a place where young people who don’t know each other and don’t hate each other, kill each other, based on decisions made by old people who know each other and hate each other, but don’t kill each other… ” – Paul Valéry
My heart bleeds for this young man and everyone like him in the same position.
The ironic and saddest part about these wars, they are totally unnecessary. What fuels their fires is gr$$d, power, control and dominance.
There is so much land and other natural resources in this world to go around, if level-headed world leaders would put their heads together with a common goal of peace and tranquility there would never be the necessity for one more shot to be fired.
Sad to say lasting peace can never be achieved because of the very few and very powerful that control the world. They do not want their own little piece of the pie, they want the whole pie.
When I was young and naïve, I always thought that there was not a situation that existed that could not be corrected. The older I became the more I realized that wrong I was. Certain things will never change.

This picture will haunt me for a long time.
