Overconfident and arrogant…..

NBC News’ Kristen Welker pressed President Biden’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan about how he was “so far off the mark” in describing the conflict in the Middle East as “quieter” today than it has been in two decades.

Biden’s NSA pressed on previous comments about ‘quieter’ Middle East: ‘So far off the mark’

The Middle East region is quieter today than it has been in two decades. Now challenges remain. Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and the tensions between Israelis and Palestinians, but the amount of time I have to spend on crisis and conflict in the Middle East today compared to any of my predecessors going back to 9/11 is significantly reduced,” he said.

So much for the top secret intelligence that the United States is supposed to be the best at. Like so many other things, this is a gigantic ball that they dropped and a serious, deadly mistake. Having prior knowledge of an impending attack is probably the most important element in the assault.

As far as their security goes. # 1 and most surprising, Israel itself dropped the ball. (First deployed in 2011, the Iron Dome) is a network of radar detectors and missile launchers that work together to intercept incoming rockets. The highly sophisticated, multibillion-dollar defense system has been under constant redevelopment since its inception in the early 2000s. The system was supposed to be impenetrable.

By the looks of it, they were sitting on their laurels. If this war ever blows over (I don’t know if it will or not) they better get back to the drawing board.

Their staunchest supporter and supposedly the most powerful country in the world (at least we used to be) their intellegence also dropped the ball.

To my way of thinking that is not very intelligent.

I don’t know if the people that are steering the proverbal ship have any idea how volatile the situations in this world are today ? They cannot sit on their hands for 10 seconds without the possibility of one of our enemies try to put the blocks to us.

It has to be constant, constant, constant 36 hour a day surveillance with no let up. I think many factions/departments of the United States have had a too good too long and do not take the protection of this country seriously. The way I see it, that type of mondset is becoming more and more obvious with the present administration who was running our institution into the ground.

I find it very hard to believe based on the fact that Israel is supposed to have one of the most capable, sophisiticated military detection units, none of their devices detected the incoming rockets. Or that someone had prior knowledge to this attack. Could this be a case of an inside job?? If the guillotine would not be severe enough.

Just like the arrogant fools in the Roman Empire they thought they were bulletproof and could not be taken down. This is the same mentality a good percentage of the politicians have regarding the USA. Sad to say, I think they are all in for a rude awakening.

The inept performances of the politicians have a dire effect and all the citizens in the country. It seems to me that they have forgotten their oath of office and their obligations when they became elected.

I might like to add one more important element, thieves who think they are above the law.

For 90% of the politicians in our country it is all about increasing their coffers and how they could advance in the political world. There is very little consideration given to the citizens of the country.

One example proves exactly what I am saying. Years back when there was going to be a shutdown of the country and most employees of the government’s pay were going to stop; the politicians voted immediately that their pay be continuous with no interruptions. If that does not tell us what scumbags they are, I don’t know what does.

If you don’t see anything wrong with the way the countries run, you must be as brain dead as the politicians are.

Does Congress get paid during a government shutdown

Sep 30, 2023 — In prior shutdowns, Congress had to approve back pay for employees, but a 2019 law made it mandatory.

Better be tuned in to what is going on fellows and girls that run our government, this may be for all the marbles.

I won’t even ask for the token Car-mella’s opinion, I may choke on my question.
