New York man who saved woman from subway mugging by scaring off would-be robber with warning shot arrested

The man should he hailed as a hero not a criminal.

John Rote, of Queens, charged with reckless endangerment after allegedly scaring off mugger with gunshots

Possibly Rote should have shot and killed the thief, doing the lesser of two evils, instead of trying to scare him off.

“I want to be clear: we don’t tolerate this kind of conduct in NYC Transit, period,” NYC Transit President Richard Davey said in a statement. “Once again, cameras recorded a perpetrator, and we are grateful the NYPD made an arrest within hours. Thank goodness nobody was hurt here, but what occurred was outrageous, reckless, and unacceptable.”

Did this fool ever hear of exceptions to the rule?? What if this incident found his family members in jeopardy, would he have a different opinion??

Our country is loaded with anti American insane politicians. On one hand there are laws on the books that will prosecute someone for not assisting in jepordy in the time of need; on the other hand we have laws that work against citizen that is trying to save someone else’s life. Make up your fucking mind fools.

In my opinion they should make John Rote the citizen of the month and have a ticker tape parade for him down Main St..

This is what the bleeding hearted authorities do after this hero that may have saved some guy’s life; they lead him away in handcuffs. What a fuckin shame!!

I can’t help but wondering, if the victim was a relative of one of the arresting authorities would that make a difference??

Will we ever see the day when common sense prevails instead of the idiotic opinions of some public officials?? It doesn’t look like that to me, as a matter of fact we seem to be regressing a lot more than progressing.
