California city struggles to recruit police despite highest-in-nation signing bonus: ‘They’re desperate’
Alameda offering $75,000 signing bonus in addition to a $113,000 starting salary
Who can blame them?? Not me.
If the imbecile masochist in California and other progressive cities and states want to resolve the crisis that they brought on themselves, they have to by taking the handcuffs off of them, start giving the cops their bullets back, support the good ones and shit can the bad ones. Start by giving them the respect and support they deserve, support and reinstate their authority by allow them to do their jobs as law enforcement officers.
If the government doesn’t give them respect, how do they expect the banditos to react toward them?
This is a pure example that any amount of money is not worth the risk. If we as a society expect law enforcement to perform their job at the highest level, we have to give them the respect and tools they need to do their jobs effectively.
If necessary (I think it is) ; the cops have to be issued high-powered automatic weapons so they can be on the same plateau as the bad guys. We should never send a cop to a gunfight with a slingshot. If they are responsible and level headed they will only use these weapons when necessary.
That is where the vetting comes in.
Just because some religious organizations have some low-life degenerates serving as priests and ministers, it does not mean that all priests and ministers are scumbags.
Going way back to the beginning of this insanity, I was absolutely sure that this maneuver of law enforcement was going to come back and bite these flower children in the ass. No successful society can exist without law enforcement.
Support the good cops, give them the necessary tools to do their jobs, and that will be 9/10 of the battle open.

If the rest of the fools in these liberal cities and states recognize the problem that Califorina is having; they should not wait till the bottom drops out of their situation before they act. Being proactive is the key to most success. Only a wise man learns from others mistakes
