Actor Morgan Freeman derides Black History Month: ‘My history is American history’
The Academy-Award winner said, ‘this whole idea makes my teeth itch. It’s not right’
Besides being a great actor, Morgan Freeman has an exceptional amount of backbone, common sense and patriotism. His take on Black History Month is very negative.
“I detest it,” the 87-year-old actor told Variety Saturday. “The mere idea of it. You are going to give me the shortest month in a year? And you are going to celebrate ‘my’ history?! This whole idea makes my teeth itch. It’s not right.”
Freeman added, “My history is American history. It’s the one thing in this world I am interested in, beyond making money, having a good time and getting enough sleep.”
Freeman and I think along the same lines. We are all Americans trying to survive in this craziness that politicians have created. If we all pull in the same direction we have a better chance of turning the tide. But that does not seem to be the case. There are too many rebel-rousers out there that are continually stirring the shit pot trying to keep the fires going on racism.

You don’t have to like me, and I don’t have to like you. If you respect me, I will respect you. That is just about how easy it is.
“I don’t want a Black History Month. Black history is American history,” Freeman said.
He added that the best way to get rid of racism is to “stop talking about it.”
“I am going to stop calling you a White man, and I’m going to ask you to stop calling me a Black man,” Freeman told the interviewer.
It takes a lot of backbone and guts to go against the grain and a entire population to voice your opinion.
My hat is off to the American man.

The real problem is, there are too many instigators out there making too much money by keeping the racial fires raging. Shame on them.
