Former NBA player calls Bronny James getting drafted an ‘abuse of power’ by father LeBron

Bronny James was the 55th pick of the NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, his father’s team, a couple weeks ago.

Does this sound like something out of the Biden playbook with the father pampering the shit out of his kid??

People, people you have to let your kids eat some liver from time to time for them to appreciate what the steak tastes like. You are not going to be around for ever. Teach them to stand on their own 2 feet.

There’s been a lot of conversation about nepotism, and an ex-NBA vet called it an “abuse of power” by the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, especially considering Bronny got a guaranteed four-year deal worth nearly $8 million.

According to reports and his poor performances, Bronny Boy is not much to write home about. *8 MMMMMILLIoN dollars? I wonder how much of that LBJ kicked in??

I can imagine at times it must not be fun being a superstar kid. Maybe Bronny should take up bowling or something to get out from under his old man’s wing.

Gotta throw the little chicks out of the nest sooner then later and let them learn how to fly on their own. You will do them a big favor.

Later in life they will love you for it.

When I was 16 years old and I was a very incorrigible kid because of certain circumstances. Eventually I got thrown out of school.

My old man put me to work for a company named Horvitz Construction Co. running at 90 LB air hammer for 12 hours a day non-stop. The air-hammer almost weighed more than I did. There wasn’t then and still not now any quit in me. Was that a life lesson, you bet your ass?

All of the workers who were substantially (mostly great black people) much older than me marveled at my intestinal fortitude and desire to keep up with the best and never gave in. I was not going to let that 90 LB air hammer beat the shit out ofme, I was gonna beat it. That was just one of the many hard lessons my old man taught me as I was growing up.

There were times when he was kicking my ass he would say, “this hurts me more than it hurts you”.  It took me a long time to really understand the true meaning of what that cliche meant.

Shortly thereafter I joined the USMC where really got an education with the hard knocks of life.

I may have not liked it then, but I can say without reservation, in both circumstances I came away of them better and stronger person.

I soon found out that the sadistic DI’s put a worse hurting on me than that 90 LB hammer or my old man did. In those days ASS KICKINGwas the name of the game.

The beating of recruits was not legal but everybody turned their back and pretended it did not happen. There were even a few incidents where a recruit went haywire because of the harassment, could not take it and wound up killing the DI, either with a bayonet or a rifle at the rifle range.

 The movie Full Metal Jacket was about as close to reality as any movie could be based on actual event in basic training.

Watch it if our care too. The movie will give you a very precise look into what Marine Corps boot camp was like back in the 50’s.

At the time I hated basic training, but after the fact, I would not have wanted it any different. I got thrown out of the nest very early, and had to learn to fly or take a dive.

I think every citizen, male or female should have to serve at least two years in the military. What this country has created is a bunch of pampered anti American cowards who would not defend the United States even if they were forced to

Be a good parent to your kid, not a friend. If you can be both that is great, if not Choose door #1. Feed them some liver once and awhile.
