Biden argues the Supreme Court has ‘undermined the public’s confidence’

Possibly the most intelligent thing the man has done all of his life.

I have never believed that the Supreme Court justices should be appointed for life. I would think a 10 – 12 year limit would be the maximum.

So many of the Justices were so old and the senile as they served their terms, as William O’Douglas was, they were literally incapacitated. He had to be wheeled into the chambers by his attendant.

I used to make a joke of it; when voting time came around they would tell O Douglas blink ones for yes, and twice for no.

ANDDDD to think that people like O Douglas controlled the destiny of the United States, is very scary.

The oldest person to serve as a Supreme Court Justice was Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., (1902-1932) who was 90 when he retired from the Court.

I would think that 75 years old should be the oldest age limit for any of the justices.

Biden seeks to impose a term limit of 18 years for justices. Once fully adopted, it would allow presidents to appoint new justices at a cadence of once every two years. 

That sounds sensible to me.

On the other side of the coin, is this just one more of Backdoor Joe’s vindictive decisions he made to get back at some of the justices appointed by Trump?

I am very anxious to see what other kind of demolition BDJ is going to exact before he leaves office.

It sounds curious to me that they are shit canning Backdoor Joe because he’s incompetent, yet they are allowing him to make decisions.

It is astounding to me just how corrupt and clandestine politics can be.
