Mark Wahlberg’s advice for parents sending kids off to college

Mark Wahlberg has simple advice for any parent sending a child off to college in the fall.

“It’s a beautiful thing just encouraging them to pursue their dreams, to take a chance on themselves and to dream big,” he told Fox News Digital. 

“But, along with the big ideas, you have to do the little stuff to accomplish those big goals. So, doing the work, betting on yourself, not being afraid of failure and just staying as close.” 

When this country and the rest of the world start going down the tubes is when the old school values/ practices were kicked to the curb, more so when there was not a mother and father to guide their kids.

The cruel hard facts are, many parents are more delinquent than their own kids. How do you teach a kid to behave themselves if you are a stone bum?

All people are products of their environment. If you sleep with a dog, you get fleas, if you live with a cripple, will you eventually start limping?

A very sad statistic: About 1 in 8 children (8.7 million) aged 17 or younger lived in households with at least one parent who had a past year substance use disorder. So how do these people teach their kids to walk the straight and narrow if there are nothing but a bunch of stumble bums.

If you want to fuck up your own life, it’s your business. But have a little consideration for people that look up to you.

This is what I tell all the racist bastards in this world, white, black and all colors. If you are so selfish that you want your kids to grow up in the same miserable environment you did, keep doing what you’re doing. If you love your kids try to set a better example for them. It is not an easy task being a parent today with all of the outside distractions sucking these kids in, drugs, alcohol, promiscuity and the like.

One would think that the leaders in this country who are supposed to be setting the tone for the Kids to follow are probably some of the worst defenders?

This is one thing that is definitely inexcusable.

Yet the idiots in this country flock around people like this guy like he just got off the cross. Wild Bill is definitely one of the main cogs in this distorted wheel that is trying to turn this country into a social state.

Set a good example and practice what you preach. You will love yourself for it, and your kids can be proud of their parents.

I have seen the best kids come from the worst families and the worst kids come from the best families. Many kids are raised under ideal conditions, but when they are cut loose from the nests and hang around with degenerates, that is when they start going down the tubes.

Don’t be a selfish fool, this is not a popularity contest being a good parent. Be a parent first and then a friend. If that does not work out, forget about the friendship.

Monitor who they hang round with and try to influence them to always try associate with someone of better quality than they are. Other than that, do the best you can and eventually they will find their own way in life. If we set a good example, we can only be responsible for our kids after they reach a certain age. After that, it is their turn in the box.

It’s a cruel ass world out there today, the devil is always waiting around the corner just waiting to pounce.
