Man dies from blunt impact injuries after riding coaster at new Florida amusement park Epic Universe

These monster machines are just death traps waiting to happen. Personally, I don’t think the thrill is worth the risk.

AI

There are no exact yearly figures for total roller coaster injuries, but industry data from the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) in North America estimated 1.4 injuries per 1 million roller coaster rides in 2021, leading to about 449 injuries in 2019. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) found that roller coasters account for a quarter of fixed-site amusement ride injuries, and while rare, they can cause fatal accidents.

Who wants to be the 1.4??? A guy is safer walking into a bar loaded with bikers wearing pink skirts than getting on one of these monsters.

Travel at your own risk.
