Baldy; wear your hat today

Massive 2012 Solar Flare To Hit Earth Today:

A magnetic storm in 1921 knocked out the signaling system for New York City’s rail lines. A solar storm in March 1989 crippled the power grid in Quebec, depriving millions of customers of electricity for nine hours. And in 2003, a series of storms caused blackouts in Sweden, destroyed a $640 million Japanese science satellite and forced airlines to divert flights away from the North Pole at a cost of $10,000 to $100,000 each.

I don’t know if I would book a flight for today, be riding the Eurostar through the Chunnel  or be in an elevator in some 60 story high rise?

I know one thing for sure; we are only allowed to be here on earth because Mother Nature permits us to be. If the “Old Girl” ever gets really mad at the people messing up her planet; one of these days she is going to stop spinning and off we go into the wild blue yonder.

Physically we don’t have to worry about the solar flares having adverse effects on human beings; it is just all those gadgets that the human race has developed through the years like electricity run items that will be temporarily disrupted

The flares probably do have an effect on bald headed guys; so guys that are a little sparse on top; wear your lids when you go out today.

By the way; hiding under your bed will do you no good at all.

Citizens of the world; have a great solar day.
