NEW YORK–Jeanne Thompson began going gray at 23. She colored her hair for years as she worked her way into management at a large Boston-area financial services company, and then gave up the dye about a year ago.
One would think that in today’s society of fake boobs, plastic faces, implanted butts and the like that Jeanne keeping her hair the natural color would hinder her in corporate America. Happy to say it worked out in the reverse. The silver haired lady was promoted to a top position in her company.
It is refreshing to see someone out there that is not consumed with their looks and not ashamed of how old they are. People should be received for who they are instead of some insecure person that is trying to hide their age.
Let’s face it; Mother Nature is going to do a job on all of use sooner or later so why try to hide the inevitable. You can’t beat gravity.
No one is kidding anyone when they try to hide their age anyway. Take a look at the hands and the neck areas where the scalpel guys haven’t figured out how to rejuvenate those areas yet.
I would rather wake up in the morning with someone at my side that resembles the same person I got into bed with the night before. It can get scary.
Some of these cosmetic junkies are obsessed with trying to look younger that they have gone way over board and have done themselves more harm than good. I guess they are the only ones that don’t see it.
There are a lot of beautiful women and handsome men out there that go el natural.
My hat is off (so you can see my partially bald head and gray hair) to Jeanne and people like her.
