This country is going/gone nuts. These are just 3 of the headlines in the news the other day.

Some parts of the USA are starting to resemble the Wild West; where if you looked at someone the wrong way they pulled out their gun and shot you or in this case killed you because they wanted your tennis shoes.
I understand what the gun control advocates are all about and they are half right. The fact of the matter is; the majority of all the shootings are not by the civilians that have a permit to carry a gun for self-protection, they are by the criminals that have no regard for anyone’s life including theirs.
It wouldn’t bother me if all of these gangsters would kill off each other because all they are is a threat to society. I think it is a waste of tax payers’ hard earned money to even investigate the killings of rival gangs. They should all be rounded up, put into a concrete enclosed area and give them all the guns, knives and whiskey they want; come back in 2 weeks and the problem would be solved.
These criminals do not have the same mentality as the normal human being. The vast majority of them have come from broken homes where their drugged up mother has a new friend every night and they have no idea who their father is. When a person is raised like an animal that is exactly how they turn out. Sad to say their upbringing is no fault of theirs but the fact still remains; at some point in their life they have to take responsibility and control of their own destiny.
What is the answer if there is one? It has to be education and learn by good examples set. I really think that our violent society has gone too far and is beyond turning it around.
The USA is not far from where Mexico is. The Mexican authorities turned their head once too often assuming that they could control the criminals but it went too far and now it is totally out of hand. The criminal element south of the border is better armed and has more money than the government does. I hope the USA does not become a carbon copy.
These things have to be nipped in the bud. Our country should have never let crime get out of hand the way it is.
Take Singapore for instance; a good lashing with a bamboo cane is a legally sanctioned form of punishment and is often employed for over 30 types of offense, such as robbery, breaking and entering, assault, rape, living off the earnings of prostitution, vandalism etc.. That will open some peoples eyes.
The death penalty is imposed for drug use and trafficking; drunk driving carries a 10 year prison sentence. If you do the crime; you do the time; no questions asked.
Singapore is one of the cleanest and safest countries on the planet. Smoking in public, chewing gum, spitting in public, littering, jaywalking. Failure to observe these laws will result in stiff fines. Forgetting to flush the toilet in a public area will cost the dirty butt offender $500.
I will agree that some of these laws are over the top but I would rather live in a society where I don’t have to worry about my wife, kids and grand-children safety, getting mugged and raped than being afraid to walk down the street at night. It has gotten to the point in the USA where a person better not drive into the wrong neighborhood by accident; they may never come out.
It is about time that the people in this country understand; there is a certain element of society that does not understand anything but violence and have to be dealt with in a manner that they understand.
The “do gooders” and the liberal movement in our country have done a hell of a lot more damage than good. If any one of these liberals have ever been face to face with a criminal that had a gun to their head, I can assure you they would have a different mindset than they do now. “Can you please put your gun away sir, you are frightening me”. That is not how it works in the streets.
If education is an answer to these situations it is going to take decades to reverse the way things are now. I took decades to get this way and will take even longer to reverse it. No shortcuts. I say we are too far gone to come back. Very sad.
