Charity should begin at home

VA study finds more veterans committing suicide:

It is reported that 22 veterans commit suicide every-day. What a sad commentary to how our vets end up after serving their country.

I wonder how many free government sponsored programs are available to the vets when they return home or retire from active duty? I can bet it is not enough.

These are the people that should be first in line on the “to be taken care of list” for their service to our country.

For the unfortunate vets that commit suicide, essentially their troubles are over. The real problem lives with the vets that are physically and mentally handicapped/disabled for the rest of their life.

It should be the responsibility of our government and our politicians to make sure they provide these heroes with jobs, healthcare, disability pay or whatever they need for the duration.

I just may be, if the government extend a hand to these troubled people the suicide rate would not be as high.

The United States government, run by or politicians, give billions of dollars away every year but cannot understand or do not want to understand for some unapparent reason, ‘CHARITY SHOULD BEGIN AT HOME” starting with the vets.

These are very sad, never ending stories where the people running our government are not doing their job.

Can all the vets be saved? Probably not but a good percentage of them can.
