4th and 10 – go for it

SUPER BOWL XLVII

The main event of the year is finally here for all of the football junkies.

Ladies; take the kids, go to your mother’s house, that is if your old man is not on this side of the grass. If he is still among the living he probably is watching the game too.  If so go get a motel room at the local Water Park and have yourself a ball or a swim. The entire day is going to be shot.

Make sure to leave the vacuum cleaner and the Windex where your hubby/partner can find them especially if he is a drinker, leave enough Fabreze air freshener for your old man so he can spray the house after all of his cronies leave.

Tomorrow and the rest of the week you wouldn’t be-able to talk to your better half because the season is over, especially if he loses his bet but that may be a good thing for you.

These are a few interesting fact about Super Bowl madness:

There is almost $ 100,000,000 bet on this sporting event each year.

From RTV6 Indy Channel
This is the first time in the history of the Super Bowl the opposing head coaches were brothers.

The cost of a 30-second Super Bowl spot in 2012 was $3.5 million. In 1970, the same 30 seconds ran for $42,000. I remember when 1 million for a one minute spot was outrageous.

An estimated 111.3 million people around the world watched last year’s Super Bowl. It was the most watched TV show in US history.

$800 is the lowest face value of a ticket, but don’t bother trying to get one. These so-called cheap seats are gone. I thought being a sports fan was a supposed reciprocal arrangement between the owners and the fans. These owners are taking out the fans eye balls for the price of a ticket and it seems the fans love it??? Hit me with a bat please.

If you want to buy a ticket to the big game from an online broker, the current average ticket price is over $3,000. For that money, you can buy two 50-inch HDTV’s at Costco with money to spare for a hotdog and a coke.

These fans need their heads examined. It will cost them $ 15.00 for a beer at the stadium and $ 35.00 for a hat. Talk about getting your ass handed to you.

Last year at the Super Bowl costs:

9.00 a slice – Hot Dog 6.00 (was not a foot long) – Chicken sandwich 10.00 – Chicken tender and fries 10.00 – soft pretzel 5.00 – Beer 10.00 – Mixed drink 19.00 – soda 7.00 – program for the fans that could read 20.00
Super Bowl Food statistics:

Fans shelled out $125 million for chicken wings on Super Sunday.

They also wolfed down 71 million pounds of guacamole.

Plus, they snapped up 49.2 million cases of beer.

There’s a 35 percent rise in pizza deliveries on Super Sunday.

There’s a 20 percent increase in 7-Eleven’s antacid sales the day after the Super Bowl.

$88,000 is how much the winning players get.

The losers get $46,000, which is still not a bad payday.
