Oscar Pistorius charged with girlfriend’s shooting murder:

The “Blade Runner” may be blading on thin ice.

SOUTH AFRICA’S Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly shooting dead his girlfriend, fashion model Reeva Steenkamp.

I don’t know why the news media is always so careful with using “alleged” so frequently? He did shoot her, not allegedly shoot her; whether he did it on purpose or not is another issue.

Pistorius claims he thought that the blond beauty was an intruder which some say is not the case at all.

There were reports by neighbors of screaming and shouting coming from the house prior to the shooting. That information makes it unlikely that it was a case of mistaken identity due to the fact that Oscar and Reeva were the only ones in the house.

Pistorius was given the handle of the ‘Blade Runner’ because of the blade like prosthetic devices he uses for competitive running. There has been some criticism at he has an unfair advantage over the competition because of the spring like blades used.

It is reported by The Guardian newspaper that Steenkamp was shot four times which makes Oscar’s account of the “accident” even more suspect. Usually; when a person is shot or stabbed repeatedly it is most likely a crime of passion.

He is expected to appear in a Pretoria court today.

If Oscar did shoot his girl friend intentionally it will be yet another case of “celebrity madness”. I recent years there have been may cases of some celebs going off the deep end and taking out their partners.
