It has been uncovered, naturally by another new network that a Fox News executive was paid a pile of hush money to keep him from spilling the beans on all the juicy inner workings at the network to the tune of about 8 million clams.

Brian Lewis, the ousted former consigliere to Roger Ailes, was paid a very large sum of money by Fox News in a recently undercover settlement. In addition the network made him burn a holy picture in his hand, swear to omerta in order to “cement” the deal.

The hush money was paid to Brian Lewis to keep his mouth shut over concerns of the secret inner workings of what some people “in the know” call Fox one of the most secretive and cutthroat companies in the media industry.

My take on Fox is; for the most part, at least Fox has the goolunies to tell it like it is. For that they deserve a lot of credit. It is not easy being the only bad guy on the block.

Ailes, Lewis’s former God-Father was very close to his consigliere before they had a falling out. Due to the personal and private information Lewis had at his disposal it was clear that he could possibly be a potential threat to Fox News and News Corp. The executive decision was made to pay him off to shut him up. Nice position to be in. It sounds like something the government would do.

There must be some serious hanky panky going on behind those news media’s walls to pay out that kind of money. I wonder who was caught sitting on the copying machine with their pants down or got caught in  compromising position at office party. They pay big bucks to keep that kind of gossip squashed.

“Hush Money” is nothing new in all sorts of industry. A former British newspaper chief Rebekah Brooks was paid a tidy some of $17.6 million when she resigned from the company. She must have had some real dirty laundry on the big boys.
