Richard Sherman’s Dad Still Drives a Garbage Truck:

What the matter with that? If it wasn’t for the blue collar workers in the USA the country would be in worse shape than it is.

Kevin Sherman is an honorable, self-sufficient man that is not looking for any handouts. Even though his son is a Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman who is considered one of the best defensive players in the NFL, Kevin still won’t accept any financial support from his son.

Sherman’s dad has been driving a garbage truck for 26 years, getting up at 3:45 a.m. to work—even during holidays so he can get paid overtime. According to Tony Manfred of Business Insider, Sherman’s dad left Christmas early in 2012 so he could get back and be ready to work the next day.

I would consider Mr. Sherman “one solid, standup citizen” and a role model. More people in this country should be as dedicated to their jobs and their families as he is!!!

I would like to call Mr. Sherman a “sanitary engineer”; garbage man is not fitting for the man.
