South Carolina Police Won’t Release Dashcam Video Of Ernest Satterwhite’s Fatal Shooting:
This is exactly what kind of unacceptable behavior and lack of cooperation law enforcement is getting from some communities that is fueling the racial fires.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — When a white police officer in South Carolina chased a black man nine miles by car, then shot him to death in his driveway last year, the shooting apparently was captured on the officer’s dashboard camera — a video that state police have steadfastly refused to release.
It is totally out of line and the federal government should step in and demand that the state turns over the video. If the cop is clear, he has nothing to worry about. If the cop was negligent, he has to pay the price.
Isn’t that the purpose of the videos to establish who was at fault?
