Putting a name to the face and his connection to politics
He is Edward “Ed” Mezvinsky, born January 17, 1937. Why is Mezvinsky an important name connected to politics? It is in more ways than one.
He is a former Democrat congressman who represented Iowa’s 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives for two terms, from 1973 to 1977. He sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon. He was outspoken saying that Nixon was a crook and a disgrace to politics and the nation and should be impeached.
Eddy, as his close friends call him, has been in bed ( so to speak ) with the Clinton clan for many years. Now in reality his son Marc is in bed with one of the clan. I say that with respect to the lady.
Eddy, who back in the day was quite the ladies man and had an affair with an NBC News reporter Marjorie Sue Margolies and later married her after his wife divorced him.
Here is where all the connections come together. In 1993, Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, part of the political machine, then a freshman Democrat in Congress, cast the deciding vote to get President Bill Clinton’s controversial tax package through the House of Representatives. In DC, reciprocity is a very big thing. It is in most part how DC operates. You scratch my back and I will fill your bank account.
Fast Eddy, as some called him was not the most trustworthy and stellar person in the country. Eddy was like the guy you invited to dinner and counted the silverware after he left.
In 2001 Eddy was indicted, plead guilty to 31 of 69 counts of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud and was sentenced to 80 months in the slams but only served less than 5 years. Time off for good behavior; I am sure. He is still on probation today.
Mezvinsky was the king pin behind an embezzling scam that took more than $10 million dollars from people via both a Ponzi scheme and the notorious Nigerian e-mail scams. Like Bernie That-Made-Off, only on a smaller scale, many of his victims were close friends. After all; who is the easiest person to steal from, someone that trusts you.
Part of his sentence was to pay his victims 10 million dollars; of which he still owes $9.4 million. Doesn’t look like the lad is making much of an attempt to pay the restitution.
Connection: Fast Eddy Mezvinsky just so happens to be Chelsea Clinton’s father in-law. She is married to Mezvinsky’s son Marc a few years ago. Marc is 38 and Chelsea is 36.
I am the first one that solidly contends; no one should ever be held responsible for their fathers or forefathers crimes or indiscretions. But under the circumstances, some situations leads one to wonder if Eddy didn’t catch some slack for his crimes because of his close relationship with the Clinton’s??? From all appearances, it seems that Marc and Chelsea are doing OK and not standing in the soup line. They just purchased a 10.5 million dollar NYC apartment. I say good for them;IF, IF their down-payment didn’t come from a particular foundation or a Ponzi scheme.
As we all know; there are families in this good old US of A and around the world that have been living a long time off of what their parents – grandparents and great grandparents made, either legally or illegally.
Take all of the ROYAL families in Europe, some of their family members never had to wipe their behinds and still don’t. They are called the privileged people.
The entire Kennedy clan has been living off of the business dealings , legal and questionable, the patriarch family Joe Kennedy’s made.
In fairness some of the kids, many of them have developed their own personality and gone out on their own. Their last name helped considerably.
Situations like this are not uncommon in the upper echelon of society. For the most part we never hear of them because the $$$$$ people keep a lid on it.
The Bush family members had a leg up in life being the recipients of what Grand-daddy Preston Bush made with his legal and questionable affiliations with Adolf and other businesses.
The grandfather of President George Walker Bush (Skull & Bones, 1968) was Prescott Bush (Skull & Bones, 1917), and his great grand father was George Herbert Walker. Prescott Bush and George Herbert (Bert) Walker were directors of the London-affiliated New York banking house of Brown Brothers-Harriman and its various fronts, which funded and directed the military-industrial complex behind Hitler and the Nazi revolution.
Was he a great American or what? The entire world is trying to combat Hitler while Preston and his crew are heavily contributing to the Nasty Nazi’s cause.
I have to assume that Chelsea is a very nice girl and should not be held responsible for her fathers shortcomings. It had to be very hard for her to try and live down or ignore the misdeeds of her her father she so looked up to.
At the time the Lewinsky thing was going on; I felt a lot of compassion for Chelsea, wondered how she was dealing with the shame of her father; who by his despicable actions, had no regard for his daughter’s well-being. If this poster boy for a narcissism did, he wouldn’t have tip toed through the tulips with a girl that was close in age to his daughter (6 years difference).
These escapades were not a one time thing for Wild Bill. They went way back to when he was the governor of Ab-a-lama and before.
When Wild Bill was governor there was direct testimony from some of the state troopers he would send them out to get ladies for him and bring them back to the governors mansion.
