One thing that has always been very amusing to me; the wars in the Middle East have been fought in the name of God. A few years back, they were all dubbed THE HOLY WARS. Go figure.
The term “holy wars” generally refers to conflicts motivated by religious differences, where participants believe their actions are divinely sanctioned or commanded. The Crusades, a series of religious wars between Christians and Muslims for control of the Holy Land, are a prominent example of holy wars. Other historical examples include various conflicts within Judaism and Islam, as well as religiously motivated wars in other parts of the world.
If there is a God, do we really think that he (MAYBE SHE) would sanction all of this insanity, death and destruction in their name??
