Overpaid and under performing is the mantra of the Senate and the Congress in this country or most probably all politicians.
I have been trying to figure this out for many years. Why do the politicians in DC always wait until the 11th hour to try to come up with a budget for the country and prevent agreement shut down??
From what I can ascertain Congress has two years to prepare between government potential shutdowns. And it never fails, the day, hours before the deadline they still have their fingers up their ass unable to come together and make a decision.
A couple things that really set up fire under my ass is. Congress is only obliged to work 133 days a year, while the average citizen has 240 working days a year, providing they are willing to work, a very big no no 4 letter word these days is WORK.
In that time period, if they do show up, they accomplish little to nothing. Secondly, can someone give me a logical answer to the question; why do the congressman continue to get paid during the shutdown while the rest of the government employees have to go on food stamps??
Don’t forget folks; these are the bastards that are supposed to be looking out for our best interests and they are the ones that voted that legislation in to make sure their $$$$ are not cut off during the shutdown. That can only tell us one thing, who comes first in this country, the politicians or the people they are supposedly represent. I think the answer is pretty clear.
