President Trump’s ceasefire with Iran draws praise from world leaders
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday he supports President Donald Trump’s two-week ceasefire with Iran. In a Truth Social post, Trump suggested Iran was ready to reach a peace agreement and said the U.S. would help manage traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
Short and sweet. I have some renewed faith in Donald Trump today. Let’s hope that this frame of mind continues in this positive direction.
As I alluded to yesterday, I think that the human shields gave him an out to step back and not look bad. As we all know, image is very important to Donald Trump.
I cannot say for certain whether this scenario has reached its climax yet. If I had to guess, I would say no.
This morning I would like to give Donald Trump three thumbs up.
Trump deadline for Iran ticks closer as Islamic republic rejects temporary ceasefire
President Donald Trump has set an 8 p.m. ET deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or else the U.S. will begin targeting the nation’s power plants and bridges Tuesday. Iran has rejected proposals put forward by the U.S., and Trump in turn shut down a 10-point plan from Tehran on Monday, saying it was “not good enough.”
The resolution should not be about ego or “I GOT YOU”; it should be about common sense and what is best for all mankind.
If Trump goes ahead with this insane bombing mission, he is going to open a deadly/catastrophic can of worms that will be too big to close. There has to be an amicable solution to this delemma.
TRUMP’S WAY OUT: Based on the fact that Iran has stationed thousands of their people/ Human Shields around the strategic bombing targets, I think there is a way for Donald Trump to save face, something he is big on, and call off the bombing. He certainly does not want to be responsible for the death of tens of thousands of innocent people.
Trump totally missed the boat as far as evaluating the tenacity of the Iranian people.
I don’t see either side backing down, and this could turn into a disastrous situation, of which mankind has never seen the likes of it.
He and his advisors should have seen all of the negative possibilities, including the closing of the Strait of Hormuz. I think he took the opposition too lightly.
You can bet your sweet asses that Iran will retaliate, and the can of worms will continue to get bigger.
If Trump goes through with this, it will not be the end of the game, but just the beginning.
I don’t see how he can give the order to bomb with all these innocent people’s lives at stake.
I am sure that O-bomb-a is celebrating the fact that he was the one who financed this deadly operation when he released billions of dollars back to them.
Negotiations and sanctions are the only resolution.
President Donald Trump called out NATO, and several countries for not assistant U.S. forces in the war with Iran.
In a sharp rebuke of NATO, Trump called the intergovernmental military alliance of 32 member states, a “paper tiger.”
He further criticized, Australia, Japan and South Korea.
“We’ve got 50,000 soldiers in Japan to protect them from North Korea,” Trump said. “We have 45,000 soldiers in South Korea to protect us from Kim Jong Un.”
“Japan didn’t help us or Australia didn’t help us,” he added. “South Korea didn’t help us. And then you get to NATO. NATO didn’t help us. There were some countries that did.”
He cited help from Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
“The support that we received from NATO and some of our other supposedly-friendly nations was little to none”.
Trump is absolutely correct in his assumption and in vocalizing his feelings, straight-up and to the point. The main thing the public can do without is his compulsive lying. That one bad habit of his destroys all the good he has accomplished.
There was a big old boy I used to work with many years back that continually faked his physical condition by putting on phony heart attacks. Through the years he must have had 10 or 15 of them. After a while everyone knew he was bullshitting. Didn’t pay any attention to him. The fact of the matter is, when the real attack came around, nobody believed them and he almost.
As I said so many times before if Donald Trump could clean his act up and be more forthright instead of bullshitting people, Not directly insulting everyone or everything, someday he may be the president that he said he would be “the best of all times”
Should he have invaded Iran?? Probably yes but the way he went about it was not very tactful and he hurt a lot of people’s feelings. A little more diplomacy could have gone a long way.
If in all of his rhetoric, he was more Diplomatic and more presidential, we would be looking at an entirely different situation.
Based on past experiences with our supposed supporting neighbors, who we have been protecting for decades, when it comes time for them to pay their share of the tab, they run scared like a chicken with their fuckin head cut off.
They all have been sucking the USA dry for years, eating at the big buffet, and when the time comes to pay the check, they all fuckin disappear.
Do they have a right to be pissed off at how Donald Trump is handling most of the situation? Absolutely yes, but on the other side of the coin, they should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of the United States all these years by not contributing their fair share.
For the most part we can label the majority of them as fuckin parasitic mooches.
Pay up, ladies, and let’s get this show on the road, making sure that Iran is not a threat to the entire world. Quit sitting at the buffet table stuffing your face and playing the Houdini act when the bill comes. Iran is not only a threat to the United States but to the entire world, and probably less to the USA because of our geographic location. If you are torn as to which way to go, just think of how deceitful, untrustworthy and conniving they have been all these years.
From here on in I would like to see our allies unite with us and once and for all put these people where they belong. Start with sincere diplomacy and end with military action if they do not cooperate. The opportunity has to be given to them. Bleeding hearts finished last.
Keep your eye on the hog and your finger on the trigger
DHS slams ‘insane’ 5-year plea deal for illegal immigrants who admitted fatal stabbing in Virginia
Maldin Anibal Guzman-Videz and Luis Alonzo Sort-Portillo stabbed a man to death at an Oakton park in 2024, DHS said
DHS says Maldin Anibal Guzman-Videz and Luis Alonzo Sort-Portillo — who are both in the U.S. illegally — stabbed a man to death at a park and walking trail in Oakton, Virginia, in July 2024. The victim’s body was later discovered by a community member in a wooded area, prompting a police response.
Despite the severity of the crime, DHS said the two suspects have been offered a plea deal that would result in just five years in prison and the eventual release of “two monsters” back on American streets.
I say, turn the scumbags over to the family of the victims for some down-home justice.
Tell me this country has not gone completely insane!! We are digging our own graves one shovel at a time.
How will Donnie and his henchmen handle that situation? He’d better get some rock-solid, well-seasoned military advisors to direct him. This is not the same game as Professional Monopaly that he is used to.
Don’t you think for a minute that Charlie Chan is not keeping a good eye on the quagmire Trump has put this country in.
It is my opinion that China will one day rule the world. Is that day upon us???
For them to lose a few million people in the process, in the demented minds of their leaders, that will be a big plus for them.
Pete Hegseth signs memo opening door for troops to carry personal firearms on bases
Hegseth cited recent tragedies at Fort Stewart, Holloman Air Force Base and Pensacola Naval Air Station
The decision is good for safety purposes, but a bad idea if someone coming off liberty drunk goes berserk, killing a few of his fellow soldiers. This scenario has happened too many times. I will clasify this move as “a necessary evil”.
It has been my opinion all along that Hegseth is a wild Canary. He must have something on Donald Trump for Trump to be naive enough to appoint him to this position, Department of War Czar. I didn’t care for him from the start. I think he’s a cowboy with too much power.
Prediction: It’s only a matter of time until he and THE BOSS bump heads, and Donald Trump will show him the revolving door.
People in that type of strategic position, and all the power that goes with it can be very dangerous.
Being the good citizen that he is so I see that he has to take advantage of some of the stock buying from companies that deal in the manufacture of war products. Would that be an incentive for him to push the war further so he can make more jing-a-ling?? I have no doubt in my mind that is his intention. I was under the impression that political figures were not allowed to deal in Insider trading information.
I would be very interested in seeing what kind of whore deals Donald Trump is conjuring up. It really pisses him off that Vladimir Putin and Elon Musk gave more dollars behind their name than he does. It is quite possible, when this is all over, if our country survives, Donald Trump just may be the richest man in the world. I am sure that is absolutely his goal.
Will we ever see another totally honest politician sitting in THE BIG CHAIR again?? You can answer this question yourself. We have been going steadily downhill for decades now. Heaven only knows when we’re going to hit bottom.
I don’t know if I have ever seen someone who is so into themselves, so convincing, and such a pathological liar. There are only two things bigger than his balls: the ability to lie and his fuckin ego.
Is he a mentally disturbed man, or just a habitual bullshitter, possibly both? Anyone who can look a person straight in the eyes or directly at a camera and lie their ass off has to be mentally imbalanced and sometimes very dangerous
When Obama was running for president, I thought he was the most convincing bullshitter on the planet. This guy has him beaten hands down.
It wouldn’t be too bad if he were bullshitting about incidental conditions, like how big a fish he caught. But that is not the case. His fabrication and lies have put the entire world in jeopardy.
He is just too stubborn and bullheaded to admit he made a mistake, hates to be told no, or disagrees with.
If a country is attempting to put together a peace agreement, but in the meantime is blowing up bridges and power plants, just how sincere are they?
I am convinced his extreme behavior is an example of his narcissism and egotistical personality, where he will admit he was wrong. In essence, I think he is trying to keep up with Putin and the rest of the warmongers by flexing his muscles.
I must contend that his invasion of Iran is the same thing that Putin did when he invaded Ukraine. This just may be a pissing contest between the two to see how many lives could be taken and how much destruction they can create.
It is so hard to imagine a person in Trump’s position feels he has to go through life bullshitting to be accepted. The man has everything in the world anyone can want, BUT at the same time, he has absolutely nothing.
He is a disgrace to himself and has put the USA in jeopardy with all of his off-the-wall rhetoric and his total disregard for the feelings of those he has dealt with.
No Man Is an Island
Book by John Donne
“No Man Is an Island” is a famous passage from John Donne’s 1624 prose work, Devotions upon Emergent Occasions, not a standalone book, though it’s often published as a small book or selection of his prose. The text argues for the interconnectedness of humanity, stating that every person is part of a larger whole, and that the suffering or death of one diminishes all. The famous line, “No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main,” emphasizes that no one is truly isolated.
Whatever he says or does not only affects himself, but also puts a blemish on the entire country.
Is there a possibility he will turn this all around and reconcile with the rest of the world? Based on his track record it doesn’t seem likely to me. He is too far gone as a narcissist and a sociopath.
Trump started out like a man with a purpose when he stepped into his second term, but it didn’t take long for him to go the other way when he got tied up with Netanyahu. I will call that one of the biggest scams and hustles of modern times. Trump was supposed to be a very intuitive person, but got sucked, lock, stock, and barrel into this quagmire.
In my opinion, Trump invaded Iran to impress his Jewish buddy because he could, for no other reason, except for $ome possible financial gain$ along the way.
Who in the hell is going to come to the United States’s rescue when we have our back against the wall?? Trump has burned every bridge he has crossed.
If he continues down the same destructive paths he is on, destroying this country, there should be a way to extricate him from his seat. Putting JD Vance in there is not the answer. How much longer are the powers to be going to allow this guy to go on a rampage without taking drastic actions??
His situation is very easy to correct if he chooses to. All he has to do is admit to himself that he is on a Kamikaze mission, start telling the truth, and be upfront with the American people. Most of all, quit burning bridges and insulting everyone who disagrees with him. I do not think that is in his DNA.
His lies are absolutely preposterous and beyond belief. He may be leading this country into World War 3.
The kicker in this situation is: if someone else were pulling the same off-the-wall shot as he is, he would be the first one leading the rebellion against them.
Artemis II astronauts face toilet trouble as they head toward the moon
Flight director says suspected ice blockage forced crew to switch to collapsible contingency urine devices
One would figure, for something that costs this many $$$$$$$, they would get it right the first time.
Each Artemis II mission launch is estimated to cost over $4 billion, with the total Artemis program expenditure projected to exceed $90–$100 billion. The costs include the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion capsule, with a 2021 audit estimating $4.1 billion per launch and a 2024 audit noting over $55 billion spent on
I hope they have a contingency plan; this could turn into a real stinky situation for our space walkers.
The next thing they’re going to do is open a window, throw their bodily waste into outer space and contaminate yet another delicate area in our universe.
Mankind has destroyed the Earth, and now they’re going to have to work on outer space.
Pete Hegseth attained the rank of Major in the Army National Guard, serving from 2002 to 2021. He was an infantry officer who served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay, earning two Bronze Stars, a Combat Infantryman Badge, and serving as a senior instructor. He separated from the Individual Ready Reserve in January 2024
Here we have a, once upon a time. A Major in the US Army, firing a Four-Star general.
I was always bewildered why Donald Trump chose Petey Boy to start with. I wonder what Trump owes him? My impression of Peter Hegseth from the get-go was nothing but a little guy with a big ego (happens to run with the crowd), in a position of too much power. And another guy who dyes his hair.
I will make a prediction. Before it is all over, Petey Boy will be job hunting.
